Free forecasts cover the next 72 hours. To see further out, subscribe to WindTrac Pro, which unlocks extended forecasts beyond 72 hours along with offline maps.
WindTrac Pro is sold through the Apple App Store as an auto-renewing subscription. Manage or cancel it in your Apple ID settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iOS). Each plan starts with a 7-day free trial, which converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends.
No. WindTrac uses your device location only to center the map on your current location and to determine a viewed location's time zone, which is reverse-geocoded on your device. Your location is never sent to or stored on WindTrac servers. See the Privacy Policy for details.
WindTrac is built on public forecast data: NOAA GFS (global), DWD ICON-EU (high-resolution Europe), and ECMWF (AIFS and IFS HRES, plus wave models), along with GFS-Wave. You can choose the model per layer.
They're the same WindTrac — the same map, layers, models, and timeline playback. The iOS app adds native conveniences and is where you subscribe to Pro. Saved locations and offline data are stored on each device (in the browser for the web app), so they don't sync between them.
